Terms and Conditions

1. General

These Terms and Conditions apply to all rider development, coaching and mentoring services provided by SmoothRider. By booking a session, you agree to these terms.

2. Rider Requirements

To participate in any on-road coaching session, riders must:

  • Hold a valid and appropriate motorcycle licence for the motorcycle being ridden.

  • Ensure their motorcycle is roadworthy, insured, taxed and, where applicable, has a valid MOT certificate.

  • Wear suitable protective riding equipment, including a motorcycle helmet meeting current legal requirements.

  • Comply with all road traffic laws and regulations.

SmoothBiker reserves the right to refuse or terminate a session if a rider is considered unfit to ride, behaves in an unsafe manner, or fails to meet the above requirements.

3. Coaching Sessions

All coaching and mentoring sessions are tailored to the individual rider's needs and are intended to support rider development. Participation does not guarantee the achievement of any specific qualification, assessment result or riding standard.

4. Bookings and Payment

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment or deposit, where applicable.

Full payment must be made before the start of the coaching session unless otherwise agreed.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the booked session will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made between 48 hours and 7 days before the session may be rescheduled or refunded at the discretion of SmoothRider.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances.

If SmoothRider needs to cancel or reschedule a session, an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.

6. Weather Conditions

Motorcycling takes place in varying weather conditions. Sessions will normally proceed unless conditions are considered unsafe.

SmoothRider reserves the right to postpone or cancel a session due to severe weather, road conditions or other circumstances that may affect safety.

7. Rider Responsibility

Riders remain solely responsible for:

  • The operation and control of their motorcycle.

  • Compliance with road traffic legislation.

  • Any decisions made while riding.

Advice and coaching are provided to assist rider development, but the rider remains responsible for their own actions at all times.

8. Liability

SmoothRider maintains appropriate public liability insurance where required.

Motorcycling is an activity that carries inherent risks. By participating, riders acknowledge and accept these risks.

SmoothRider accepts no liability for:

  • Damage to motorcycles or equipment.

  • Personal injury resulting from a rider's actions or decisions.

  • Fines, penalties or legal consequences arising from breaches of traffic law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

9. Photography and Marketing

Photographs may occasionally be taken during coaching sessions for promotional purposes. No photographs will be used without the rider's prior consent.

10. Privacy

Any personal information provided will be used solely for booking, communication and administration purposes and will not be shared with third parties except where required by law.
