Lancashire

From rolling countryside and rugged moorland to mountain passes and coastal routes, Lancashire offers some of the best motorcycling in the North West. Whether you're heading out for a Sunday ride or planning a full weekend tour, incredible roads are never far away.

One of the county's standout routes is the legendary Trough of Bowland. Twisting through the Forest of Bowland National Landscape, this road combines sweeping bends, open moorland and breathtaking scenery, making it a favourite with riders throughout the UK.

Head north and you'll soon reach the spectacular roads of the Lake District. Ride over dramatic mountain passes including Honister Pass, Hardknott Pass, Wrynose Pass and Kirkstone Pass, where every mile offers unforgettable views and challenging, rewarding riding.

To the east, the Yorkshire Dales provide an endless network of quiet, flowing roads. Routes across Ribblehead, Hawes, Settle, Ingleton and Malham deliver a perfect mix of sweeping corners, traditional villages and stunning limestone scenery.

If you're looking for a longer adventure, North Wales is only a ride away. The iconic EVO Triangle, the flowing B4391 between Bala and Llan Ffestiniog, and the spectacular roads through Eryri (Snowdonia) offer some of the finest riding anywhere in Britain.

Closer to home, Lancashire's own network of roads around Clitheroe, Chipping, Slaidburn, Beacon Fell and the Ribble Valley provide fantastic riding with quiet country lanes, scenic climbs and welcoming cafés that are popular meeting points for local bikers.

The beauty of riding from Lancashire is the variety. One weekend you can be carving through the Bowland fells, the next climbing mountain passes in the Lakes or exploring the sweeping roads of North Wales. Wherever you choose to ride, you'll find incredible scenery, unforgettable roads and plenty of reasons to head out again next weekend.
